DeShea is a licensed clinical social worker who has experience in a wide range of mental health disorders. DeShea grew up in Southwest Florida and moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. She earned her Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, double majoring in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in Child Development. She also attended FSU to earn her Masters degree in Social Work in 2006.
After obtaining her Master’s degree in Social Work, DeShea worked toward gaining her clinical licensure while providing therapeutic interventions to at-risk youth and their families in the home and school settings. After seven years of post-graduate therapy in working with children and their families implementing cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavioral modification and parenting techniques she decided to branch into private practice.
Since being in private practice, she has helped a wide range of people who are experiencing Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder and family conflicts. DeShea is also a qualified supervisor for registered clinical social work interns who are working towards their clinical licensure. Overall DeShea is a light-hearted person whose passion is to help others. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family in addition to loving on her two furbabies, Cara and Stitch.
